Readers are recommended by the parish Priest and tonsured by the Bishop. Readers must be devoted to God, of good moral character, have basic knowledge of the faith and reverence of Scripture.

Scripture teaches us to help others. As Orthodox Christians, we know that all life is sacred and a gift from God. Our duty is clear; help those in need. This ministry consists of members of our parish serving our homebound parishioners. Church school children and the adults come together to make crafts such as pillows, blankets, Icons, and various holiday items. During Christmas and Pascha we visit offering gifts, prayers, fellowship, cheer and singing. This is a heart warming act of stewardship that will never be forgotten. The homebound appreciate the gifts but more importantly, the warmth that is shared during this very special time together. Everyone is welcome to participate.
